World premiere: Knife Party’s new track ‘LRAD’

On 6 May, Knife Party will release its third EP, Haunted House, on Earstorm Records. It can’t come soon enough for fans, who’ve had to content themselves with re-running 100% No Modern Talking and Rage Valley, or listening to this set from Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The Haunted House EP will feature three new tracks Power Glove, LRAD and EDM Death Machine, plus a ‘VIP’ version of mainstage smasher Internet Friends. Now you can hear the completed version of LRAD (Knife Party warns against unfinished tracks doing the rounds) right here on inthemix. Click play on the exclusive stream below. True to form, it’s a big, steam-rolling, peaktime tune from the duo.

Over the Northern summer, the guys are going to be busy. Europe is getting well looked after, and there are prime slots locked in at Tomorrowland and Benicassim. Over in the United States, Knife Party is on the mammoth HARD Summer line-up alongside fellow headliners Bassnectar and Justice, then it’s back across the Atlantic for Sonne Mond Sterne, the Leeds/Reading double and Creamfields. As summer closes, Knife Party plays Electric Zoo in New York.

Knife Party will make the EP available to buy on its website with Bitcoins – get clued up on Bitcoins here – alongside the traditional digital outlets. On life as the festival-ruling production team, Knife Party said this to Mixmag: “Things are much better now – any sample is OK, any instrument is OK, you can play six different tempos in a set and the crowd appreciates the contrast, especially in the U.S. We love it.” The feeling out there is mutual.
