Watch the kinda NSFW clip for George Maple’s new banger ‘Sticks and Horses’

It’s been a minute since we last heard from local favourite George Maple, but now the go-to vocalist is back with the first tune under her own banner in a year, and a very-nearly NSFW video to go with it.

As Maple puts it, Sticks And Horses is, “a tale of revenge, sex, money, power and greed [and] a theatrical play on my own experiences,” recorded during an epic writing session in Philadelphia.

While Maple was in the USA, she got an insight into the cross-over between Southern rap culture and strip clubs, which goes a long way to explaining both the track’s growling bass lines and the film clip’s Tarantino-esque “strippers’ revenge” storyline.

D.C. rapper GoldLink provides the bars to complement Maple’s silky smooth vocals, while What So Not, Noah Breakfast and WILLS all have co-production credits. Listen to the track and watch the clip below, and you can stream the track over at Spotify or buy it at iTunes.
