Sonny ‘Skrillex’ Moore has reunited with his former band From First To Last on stage in L.A., marking their first gig together in 11 years.
He jumped on stage for a surprise appearance at Los Angeles party Emo Nite, where From First To Last were scheduled to play. Moore – who was the band’s lead singer from 2004 until 2007 – got on the mic for a set that included emo classics like Secrets Don’t Make Friends, Kiss Me I’m Contagious and Ride The Wings.
The band also threw in their latest single Make War, last month’s surprise release that featured Skrillex on vocals. Sonny Moore also produced and released the single through his label OWSLA; it was the first time he had collaborated with the band since they parted ways ten years ago.
In the decade since he’s become one of dance music’s biggest superstars as the head of tastemaking label OWSLA, one half of chart topping duo Jack Ü, and one of the world’s most in-demand producers. But we’ll never forget:
Yeah I’m EMO who fucking cares
