Watch Hardwell troll a festival crowd with the Pokémon theme song

As you are probably aware by now, the world has gone Pokémon Go mad.

The smart phone game is officially more popular than Tinder, it has forced police to issue warnings in the interest of public safety and is the reason you might have seen gaggles of people huddled around public landmarks swiping furiously on their phones. Hell, even Donald Trump is on board.

So when Dutch don Hardwell stepped up for his headline set at Ultra Europe on Sunday, he did what any self-respecting selector would do: closed the night out with the theme song from the animated Pokémon series, while the stage lit up behind him with Pokeballs. (By the way, Hardwell’s not the only one loving the Pokémon theme – it’s received a 630% bump in Spotify streams since Go was released.)

Ultra Europe is currently underway in Split, Croatia, and will run through until Wednesday. The first day of the festival was cancelled due to “dangerous wind conditions,” forcing the likes of Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren to reschedule their performances for day two.

Watch Hardwell drop the Pokémon theme song below – ladies and gentlemen, this is your two time-voted #1 DJ in the world.
