Watch A-Trak show how it’s done in ‘The Tonight Show’ performance

2014 is turning out to be another definitive year for Fool’s Gold boss A-Trak. From the release of the funk-heavy Duck Sauce album Quack alongside studio partner Armand Van Helden, to his trap-inspired Low Pros EP with Lex Luger, and a link up with Cam’ron on Federal Reserve, the man is more in-demand than ever.

It comes as no surprise, then, that the turntablist stepped in as guest DJ when The Roots switched roles from house band to guest stars on The Tonight Show this week. Performing their latest single Never from new album …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin, The Roots enlisted the scratching prowess of A-Trak along with The Metropolis Ensemble for a mesmerizing four minutes.
