Vivid is throwing a very cool party at one of Sydney’s favourite venues

If you’re in the market for a party that looks as good as it sounds, Vivid has you covered. As part of their 2017 program, Sydney’s winter festival will take over Erskineville’s Imperial Hotel in June for ‘Painting With Light’, a collaboration with light and set designers Underground Arts.

On the night the crew will use everything from holograms to video, projection-mapping, UV, blacklights and infinity boxes to completely transform different spaces in The Imperial into a visual feast.

Upstairs, The Imperial will be turned into a 3D interactive exhibition curated by Sydney duo SPECTRUM, while the basement will see some of Sydney’s favourite producers deliver sets over the night, including Inner West legends Cosmo’s Midnight and Disney-sampling master Pogo.

It’s all happening June 10, and you can pick up tickets now. Vivid Sydney goes for 23 days from May 26 to June 17 – last month the bulk of the line-up was revealed, with Richie Hawtin, AIR, Sampha, Laura Marling and Fleet Foxes all locked in for appearances.
