This video of a DJ’s epic Australian festival failure has gone viral

If you’ve ever flicked through our long-running Disaster Gigs series, you’ll know that a lot of shit can go down when behind the decks.

Most of the time it’s just a lot of bad song requests and getting the occasional drink thrown at you, but occasionally something happens that stops the show altogether. Over the weekend at North Coast fest Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Portugal’s Louie Cut had his set abruptly cut off by an enthusiastic punter accidentally tipping his decks off the stage and into the crowd.

The entire incident was caught on camera, including the moment where the decks come crashing to the ground on top of the hapless punter. Somewhat amazingly, he wasn’t injured.

The crew quickly scrambled to get the decks back on stage, and the performance quickly resumed. “The situation was solved in 10 minutes and I continued one of the most hectic sets of my career,” Louie wrote on Facebook
