It’s not often you get a chance to make a track with one of the most revered dance acts on the planet, but that’s the situation that Byron Bay five-piece Parcels found themselves in this year. The now Berlin-based outfit have linked up with none other than Daft Punk — yes, the Daft Punk — for their latest single, ‘Overnight’.
Apparently, Parcels first caught the eyes of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel Homem Christo while they were playing at a Paris club in 2016. The duo obviously liked what they heard, and so they tapped the 19-year-olds to come work with them, offering to help them out with production.
Together they holed up at a secret location in France to produce ‘Overnight’, which has just now been released — wrap your ears around it below.
‘Overnight’ follows Parcels’ well-received EP Hideout, which was released on French label Kitsuné last year. It saw them added to a bunch of festival line-ups around the globe, including The Great Escape, Woodford and Falls Festival — with a spot at Glastonbury also locked in for this year.
