Tomorrowland doubles in size for 2014, expands to two weekends
Were you one of nearly two million punters who missed out on tickets to megalithic festival Tomorrowland this year? Not to worry – according to Billboard the festival will be expanding to two weekends in 2014, in honour of its tenth anniversary.
The intention is to have line-ups that are “more or less the same” on both weekends, according to festival founders Manu and Michiel Beers, so they can give the Tomorrowland experience to twice the number of punters (180,000 this year) rather than extending the party over two weekends in the sleepy Belgian village of Boom.
The Tomorrowland website announced yesterday that next year’s festival will take place on the weekends of July 18, 19, 20 and July 25, 26, 27; pre-registration for tickets opens on January 13 2014. Need some motivation as to why you might want to go? Just check out the epic 2013 aftermovie below.
