It’s time to vote in the 2016 inthemix awards

On your marks, get set, go – it’s now time to vote in the 2016 inthemix Awards.

We’ve just opened the voting in this year’s awards, meaning you can now have your say in the best and biggest in local dance music. This year the public will decide which producers and DJs make it into the coveted inthemix50 People’s Choice – including deciding the all-important #1 spot – as well as the winners of Australia’s Favourite Event, Favourite Club Night and Favourite International DJ.

If you’re a DJ or you run a club night or event and would like to be in the running for this year’s awards, it’s not too late to register – just head here.

This time – just like we’ve done for the last few years – we’ve handed the voting of some awards categories over to the local dance music industry. A panel of over 250 industry leaders have nominated the contenders for 2016’s Artist of the Year, Best Album, Best Song, Breakthrough Artist of the Year and the brand new category Label of the Year. You can see their nominees below.

While the inthemix Awards have historically taken place mid-year, for the first time in 2016 they’re moving to December to be part of EMC week. The results of this year’s awards will be announced at a gala dinner at Sydney’s ivy Ballroom on Thursday December 1, in the middle of the biggest week on the dance music calendar. To be there, buy your ticket now.

Head over here to cast your vote in this year’s inthemix Awards – voting is open until November 13.
