There’s a new boutique festival hitting Australia this year

Ever since Foreshore hung up its hat at the end of 2012, Canberra hasn’t had much in the way of festivals. But that’s all about to change, with the announcement of a brand new boutique event set to hit the capital this year: Spring Carnival is coming, and they’ve got one hell of a debut line-up.

Carmada hitmaker Yahtzel, Perth producers Slumberjack, Sweat It Out’s Indian Summer and Spenda C are among the local dance names locked in for Spring Carnival’s first year. The party will take over Westside Acton Park on Saturday October 17 from 2-10pm and promoters advise that capacity is “strictly limited”. The best bit? Early-birds are available for $40, a general admission ticket will only cost you $50, or you can go with the a VIP pass for $100.

And it’s all for a good cause: Spring Carnival is put on in association with the Ozhelp Foundation, a local charity promoting “resilience, wellness and suicide prevention”. Grab a ticket here.
