Sydney dance veterans The Presets have returned with another massive single, ’14U+14ME’.
It’s the second single from the duo in the last three months, following the release of ‘Do What You Want‘ in November. It’s also the second look at their upcoming fourth album, HI VIZ, which is due out later this year.
The duo previously told triple j they’ve been working on the new album for quite a while, but they initially weren’t happy with the songs that were coming out of the studio.
“We’ve been working on it for about four years,” said Kim Moyes. “For the first year-and-a-half we were just making sad, melancholy, moody music, which was the exact opposite of what we were trying to do.
“So it took us about a year-and-a-half to purge it all, and then we just started to make really great, fun music. I think we just enjoy partying and jumping around, dancing, having a good time. We want to make music that feels like that.”
It’s set to feature collaborations with Alison Wonderland, Touch Sensitive, DZ Deathrays’ Shane Parson, and Newtown band DMA’s.
