The line-up for cruise festival Shipsomnia is in

If combining a festival with a holiday in paradise sounds like your idea of a good time, Shipsomnia might be the party destination for you. From January 2-6, the latest entrant to the cruise ship festival market will sail from Singapore to Thailand and then Malaysia’s Langkawi Islands, while over 30 DJs from around the world keep you dancing.

As for who’s coming on board? Shipsomnia have now revealed the cast of names they’re bringing out to sea next January and it’s a quality bunch: Armand van Helden, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and bass favourites Zeds Dead are headlining the inaugural edition of the festival, backed up by the likes of Mat Zo, new house heroes Claptone, James Zabiela, Dirtybird’s Justin Jay, breaks legends Stanton Warriors and Australia’s own Yolanda Be Cool. Scroll down for the full bill.

Shipsomnia have also linked up with five of the biggest clubs in Asia to run five days worth of on-board parties – Singapore and KL’s kyo, Bangkok’s Ku Dé Ta, Bali’s VH, Shanghai’s M2 and Jakarta’s Blowfish – plus Australian promoters like Subsonic and Habitat. But the real point of difference to other cruise ship festivals, organisers claim, will be the production and “magical aquatic theming”.

Besides four nights and five days of on-board parties, Shipsomnia is also promising an all-day private beach party on Phuket’s white sand Banana Beach, which will be closed especially for the festival. On board, you can enjoy one of the ship’s three swimming pools or 12 bars, or hit the basketball court, casino and massage centre between sets.

And if that’s not enough to entice you, then inthemix and Shipsomnia have put our heads together to offer a little sweetener. If you book your spot on the ship before October 1 and use the unique promo code “InthemixOnVacation” at the check-out in Shipsomnia’s booking system, then you’ll score a USD$200 credit of spending cash for each cabin, to use on board the ship for whatever you fancy.
