The Bloody Beetroots confirm release date for first album in four years

Mask loving Italian Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, known to the world as The Bloody Beetroots, hasn’t released a record since 2009’s Romborama, but that hasn’t slowed the hype surrounding new record Hide – largely thanks to a WTF collaboration with Paul McCartney and new track The Source premiering on Tuesday August 20 in video game Saints Row IV. And now we finally have a release date for the new album – it’ll drop on Tuesday September 17.

You could watch the series of teaser videos that are being released on YouTube (see below for example number one), but you’d be better off heading to Sir Bob’s Soundcloud page, where he’s been releasing preview tracks from Hide: mainstage peak time anthem Chronicles Of A Fallen Love feat. Greta Svabo Bech; buzzsaw banger S P A N K feat. TAI & Bart B More; the strangely effective Out of Sight feat. Paul McCartney & Youth; and Church of Noise feat. Dennis Lxyzén of Refused (the genesis of a new genre we’re dubbing ScreamDM).

Expect them to be flogged at festival mainstages – especially once The Bloody Beetroots premiere the new live show at HARD’s Day of the Dead festival in LA on November 2. And you can catch that live show in person when they bring it to Australian shores for Stereosonic this November and December.
