The best of the weekend

Monday’s may be the official start to the week but knowing how big ITMers’ weekends can get we think that Mondays are best reserved for nursing hangovers and headaches before a proper debrief as the dust finally settles on Tuesday. With that in mind, it’s time to catch up on some of the best dance music action that went down over the weekend – and there was plenty to go around!

Arguably the crown jewel of the weekend was the final set of shows from the Creamfields festival tour in Sydney and Brisbane. The weather was in fine form thankfully, paving the way for fans to lap up their final festival experience for a little while with Deadmau5, Martin Solveig, Simon Patterson and more international visitors.

One of the most talked about stars of the Creamfields tour was Skrillex of course and the US producer made good on all that buzz with two instantly sold-out sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne. With touring buddies like Deadmau5 and Chuckie turning up the shows were seriously sweaty affairs.

Speaking of sideshows, there was plenty of love flowing forth from the Groovin’ The Moo tour with electronic legends UNKLE, New York club troubler AC Slater and old-school dueds House Of Pain all darting off from their regional festival duties to play solo shows. Check out the photos below and see the action from GTM Bendigo where Cut Copy, The Aston Shuffle and more big names kicked out the jams.

As if all that wasn’t enough you can check out the action from around the country with shows from Bag Raiders, Recloose, Naughty By Nature, The Island of Sin and a big bass-y love-in with Foreign Beggars, Trolley Snatcha and Skism in Sydney.
