Sydney’s Birdcage is throwing a massive birthday party tomorrow night

For five years now, Wednesdays in Newtown have been dominated by one party: Birdcage.

From humble beginnings at the now-closed ZanziBar, to its current home at the SlyFox, the beloved mid-week lesbian and queer party has garnered a reputation for hosting some of the best local dance talent in the city.

This week Birdcage is turning five, and to celebrate they’re throwing one very special party. They’ve locked in sets from the likes of FBi spinner Mowgli May and hip-hop selector Nes, alongside seasoned regulars like bass act NatNoiz and Cunningpants. Check out the full line-up below.

It’s free entry from 8pm (with no lockouts in sight) and there’ll be free pizza on offer for those that get there quickly enough.
