Please enjoy this incredible footage of a 1996 Sydney rave
Were you partying back at Alexandria’s Graffiti Hall of Fame back in 1996? If so, there’s a good chance you could spot yourself in this clip.
Stoney Roads recently stumbled upon some vintage footage from the infamous Sydney hotspot, which features over 50-minutes of quality bopping from a rave dubbed “2036”. In classic ’90s form, there are a lot of rave pants, a lot of speed dealers (the sunglasses…), and a hell of a lot of fanny packs.
According to an old inthemix forum, the last party to be held at the Graffiti Hall of Fame was Dutch Oven bash back in 1999. In the years since then, the Botany Road location has been taken over by apartments — although apparently the graffiti is still there, albeit a bit worn.
Relive the glory days below.
