Sydney just scored a new house and soul festival for New Year’s

Over the last two years, boutique bash Freedom Time has brought revered selectors like Theo Parrish, Nick The Record and DJ Harvey to stages in Perth and Melbourne over the New Year’s party season.

The festival will be back for its third instalment over NYE this year — and this time, it’s heading to Sydney as well.

The festival will hit all three cities over a week from NYE, with house legend Larry Heard (aka Mr Fingers) at the helm of the bill. He’ll be backed up a massive variety of acts in each city, including Bradley Zero, Miles Cleret, Jamaican legend Johnny Osborne, Leroy Burgess and more.

Freedom time will take over Perth’s Roe Street Car Park on New Year’s Eve, Melbourne’s Coburg Velodrome on New Year’s Day, and Sydney’s Manning Bar on January 7. Check out all the details below; tickets go on sale September 26.
