Switch & Diplo get animated with Major Lazer TV show

What with his frequent attacks on M.I.A., repping smartphones in viral videos and working with everyone from Tiesto to Snoop Dogg and Black Eyed Peas, it’s clear that US producer Diplo has a seriously full plate. That dish just got a bit bigger though, with news now out that Major Lazer, the mutant dancehall outfit formed with regular collaborator Switch, is getting a TV adaptation.

As reported by Pitchfork, Diplo and Switch’s laser wielding mascot will star in an animated TV series on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block of programming – famous for shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Good Job! – with each episode clocking in at 15 minutes in length.

No air date has been confirmed but we trust there’ll be all the off the wall antics and far out freakery of past Major Lazer music videos and plenty of damn daggering.
