Watch Swedish House Mafia reunite on stage at Ultra Music Festival

Dance legends Swedish House Mafia have reunited at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, five years after calling it quits on the very same stage.

The reunion wasn’t that much of a surprise: it was widely tipped the trio would close the festival after Ultra mysteriously listed a “Special Anniversary Performance” on their line-up poster.  The group repeatedly denied any plans of a reunion, but on Saturday member Sebastian Ingrosso finally confirmed that the performance was going ahead.

The resulting Sunday night set was everything a SHM fan could want, crammed full of old fan favourites like ‘One’, ‘Greyhound’, ‘Antidote’, and ‘Save The World’. They closed with the big one, ‘Don’t You Worry Child’, working it in with Led Zeppelin’s classic ‘Stairway To Heaven’.

For those of us that weren’t lucky enough to be in Bayfront Park to witness it all, the full performance has now been uploaded online. Somewhat curiously, Ultra’s cameras were kept at a wide angle throughout the hour-long performance, meaning we don’t get to see Axwell, Ingrosso, and Angello up close.

At the moment, there’s nothing to suggest the trio will be playing any more shows — but we can dream.
