Over the last eight years, beloved rural bash Strawberry Fields has cemented itself as one of country’s leading boutique dance events. They’ll be back at it again this November, and they’ve locked in a stellar line-up for their ninth run around.
The first round of names has just been released, and it’s looking big: UK techno don Andrew Weatherall, Brooklyn’s Aurora Halal, Mall Grab, Detroit’s DJ Bone, Rinse FM selector Alexander Nut, and Arkityp label head Archie Hamilton are just a few of the acts making the trip to the Murray.
There’ll also be sets from Sydney’s Sampa The Great and Melbourne’s Total Giovanni, and a special performance by Aussie icons Yothu Yindi, who will bring along a heap of special guests for a set of their classics. Apart from all the tunes, there’ll be art installations, market stalls, workshops, and some stunning scenery to delve into while you’re there.
Strawberry Fields is happening from November 17 to 19 at Tocumwal in Southern NSW, about a three hour drive from Melbourne. First and second round tickets have already sold out; final release tickets are on sale now.
