Stereosonic locks in its 2012 return

Can Stereosonic go bigger again in 2012? Following the festival’s record-setting run last November/December, the juggernaut is set to head out again for five mammoth shows to welcome summer. Today Stereosonic has announced the dates for the 2012 tour, with Sydney and Perth taking the first weekend, and Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide sharing the second. So…lock it in. Line-ups and venues will be announced early July, with tickets on-sale early August.

2011 was a defining year for Stereosonic, with its biggest-ever line-up and crowds to match. Armin van Buuren, Avicii, Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Kaskade and many, many more led the way, and you can bet that 2012’s bill is already coming together. What we know so far is that Dutch king Tiesto let slip he’s headlining, and French electro maestro Gesaffelstein also dropped the bombshell that he’s “finally” coming down for Stereo. Aside from those two big gets, we’re sure there’s no shortage of star power on this line-up. Let the countdown begin!

Stereosonic 2012 dates:

Saturday November 24th – Sydney

Sunday November 25th – Perth

Saturday 1st December – Melbourne

Saturday 1st December – Adelaide

Sunday 2nd December – Brisbane
