Splendour In The Grass 2011 line-up announced!
NO MORE LIVE BLOGGING! THE FULL LINEUP IS HERE! SCROLL DOWN YO!
As anyone who went will gladly tell you, Splendour In The Grass was amazing in 2010. Uprooting from its Belongil Fields stomping ground and heading across the border to Woodfordia, the festival delivered one of its strongest line-ups to date, including a wondrous dance contingent in The Mix-Up tent. So, how have they topped it in 2011?
Well, we wish we could tell you right away. However the organisers behind the festival are keeping their cards startlingly close to their chests this year, allowing only triple j to announce the line-up first off. The radio station is taking their sweet time though, announcing artists on the bill one by one this morning so we’ll be continuously updating this story as they reveal each new act.
You can check out who is on the list thus far below, as well as the bands which have leaked their appearances themselves. There’s also our rumour mill if you’re up for some predictive work.
UPDATE: The wait is over, the full line-up is now here! And it’s quite the doozy! As well as Kanye West as one of the major festival headliners, there’s a bunch of dance goodies on the bill including Splendour veteran DJ Shadow, Friendly Fires, Yelle, Pnau and this year’s hottest property James Blake. It’s not quite as meaty as last year, but we’re still very impressed!
