Skrillex hints at a long Jack Ü hiatus in a now-deleted tweet

Last weekend was a particularly busy one for Skrillex and Diplo, as the hard-touring duo went large across the English countryside for their first-ever UK shows as Jack Ü. According to a tweet from Skrillex that’s since been mysteriously deleted, the jam-packed weekend also marked Jack Ü’s last festival dates for a “long long time”.

The Jack Ü road show kicked off on Friday night at Reading Festival, where the DJs headlined the NME/BBC Radio 1 stage after the likes of Crystal Castles and Twenty One Pilots. Saturday saw the guys hitting two major slots in one day: Reading’s companion festival in Leeds and the dance music massive Creamfields in Cheshire. At Creamfields, Jack Ü played the stage curated by LA tastemakers HARD Presents, who also programmed Jauz, Four Tet, Marshmello and HARD ringleader Destructo.

After that festival whirlwind, Skrillex tweeted a photo accompanied by the text, “Last Jack Ü festivals of 2016…and for a long long time. Thank you for all the people who came out to support us.” The post was then deleted and replaced with four festival photos and a pared-down caption, “Tour is over.”

You can hear a recording of Jack Ü’s high-octane set from the weekend below. It features a string of the duo’s productions, along with flashes of chart hits from the likes of Rihanna, Kanye West, Drake and Calvin Harris. The set also finds room for Skrillex’s recent collaboration with Rick Ross, Purple Lamborghini, before Jack Ü bring it home with their unreleased Florence Welch collaboration, Constellation.
