Diplo, Skrillex, Carl Cox and more are heading back to Burning Man

Next weekend, thousands of intrepid travellers will converge in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for the 2016 edition of Burning Man. While Burning Man is much more than a “music festival”, the annual gathering certainly attracts some of the world’s best DJs to the playa – even if organisers discourage announcing and promoting lineups.

The bass-heavy Camp Questionmark has gone ahead and announced its schedule anyway, and they’ve assembled quite a cast. Jack Ü collaborators Skrillex and Diplo will be back on the playa, along with the likes of Rusko, GRiZ, The Glitch Mob, TOKiMONSTA and Mr. Carmack.

Skrillex threw a fundraiser for Burning Man back in May at Nevada’s Reno Events Center, while Diplo loomed large at the gathering last year with his Major Lazer companions. Both DJs, however, made the loudest internet headlines back in 2014 after they were allegedly booed offstage for playing DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s Turn Down For What at the Robot Heart camp. According to Diplo, that’s not what went down at all.

While Camp Questionmark couldn’t help dropping names, other Burning Man regulars like Robot Heart, White Ocean and The Janky Barge are largely keeping up an air of secrecy for now. Meanwhile, the popular Opulent Temple has confirmed Infected Mushroom and Carl Cox will be there this year, with more to be revealed.

Burning Man goes down in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, from August 28 to September 5. Check out Camp Questionmark’s schedule below, and a mix from Lee Burridge at the Robot Heart camp last year.
