Sensation announces US tour line-up

If the reports from Toronto this past June or Brooklyn last October were any indication, America is in for a special treat when legendary Dutch dance event Sensation finally brings its “Oceans of White” themed tour to the U.S. in 2013. The lineup, revealed today on Billboard, will feature a slightly adjustable roster of talent including Sensation mainstay Fedde LeGrand, Nic Fanciulli, Sebastien Leger, Michael Woods, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and more. Mr. White and McGee, the colorful-in-all-white hosting duo will of course be on hand as well.

Le Grand told Billboard that “the concept is really next-level and I think the time is exactly right to show America.” Just in case you were wondering if U.S. crowds can handle something so high-concept, Le Grand added, “and yes, I think they are definitely ready for it!”

According to Billboard, Sensation has chosen Miami, Las Vegas, and San Francisco (Oakland, actually) as the other cities joining New York City on the list of lucky places Sensation will travel based on their contributions to “the country’s music and nightlife trends” (don’t tell Los Angeles and Chicago).

If you haven’t been to Sensation before, you’re in for a unique experience. Part circus, part festival, the music stays front and center but the DJs themselves become part of the background soundscape. In their place, things like LED jellyfish and massive water fountains swirl around the audience and become the stars of the show, reshaping the experience of a “music” festival for fans.
