RUFUS announce huge national tour

RÜFÜS will hit the road for a massive 15-date tour this May and June with support from Sydney producer Hayden James.

The Sydney three-piece were the seventh most popular act on the recent Hottest 100 countdown with three tracks from their debut album AtlasTonight, Take Me and Desert Nights – making their mark on the poll.

RÜFÜS were recently signed to US label Columbia and will release their J award-nominated debut record in America under the name RÜFÜS DU SOL following a legal clash that involved “months of strongly worded letters and colourful internal debate” about the band’s name. The dance act are just the third Aussie band to be signed to Columbia following Men At Work in the 1980s and, more recently, The Temper Trap. They’ll warm up for the Australian shows with a visit to SXSW and an extensive tour of the States throughout March and April.
