Purple Sneakers are throwing a big tenth birthday bash
The Abercrombie might be morphing into a gastro-pub but Purple Sneakers, the party it hosted every Friday night from 2006 to 2010, lives on.
For one night only, Purple Sneakers is coming out of retirement to take over Chippendale’s Lord Gladstone Hotel. To mark a decade in the game – and their first Sydney party in five years – the Sneakers crew have gone all out with a line-up full of Australia’s best dance acts, from OG selectors Levins and Linda Marigliano to collectives like Sidechains and “next generation” stars Stephane 1993, Tashka, World Champion and Indian Summer.
The big tenth birthday bash goes down from 6pm to 3am (also: no lockouts!) on June 18 as part of Vivid Sydney, and you won’t have to climb over the fence around the side to avoid paying the door fee – RSVP here and you’ll be in for free.
