Porter Robinson adds second Sydney show

Last month, VAMP Music announced they were bringing U.S. wunderkind Porter Robinson out for an October club tour. It proved to be a savvy booking: within 12 hours, half of the tickets to Porter’s Sydney date were gone. A few weeks down the track, both the Sydney and Perth shows have both completely sold out, with tickets to the other cities moving fast. It’s good news, then, that VAMP have just announced they’ll be putting on a second Sydney date for those who missed out the first time ‘round. Set for Thursday October 24, tickets to the new show are on sale now – we’d advise moving quick.

Kicking off in Adelaide on October 17, Porter – joined by OWSLA dudes The M Machine on their first trip to Australia – will hit Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth as well as playing the two Metro Theatre dates. It’s Australian fans’ first chance to see Porter in a club setting since his Spitfire EP and subsequent big singles Language and Mat Zo hook-up Easy made him one of the hottest names in dance music right now – and the 20-year-old’s excited about taking a step away from his festival sets. “When I play a nightclub I like to play longer than I would otherwise, Porter told inthemix earlier this year. “When I play a club I feel like it’s acceptable to go a little deeper.” Full tour dates are below.
