One of your favourite Sydney venues just scored a lockouts extension
Beloved Slip Street club Chinese Laundry is the latest Sydney venue to have their opening hours extended. Effective immediately, they will now be able to admit patrons until 2am, and will be able to serve drinks until 3.30am.
They’re the latest in a growing number of venues to have been granted extensions: The Palace Hotel, Observer Hotel and ArtHouse Hotel were the first to get the green light back in January, while Kings Cross favourite The World Bar had their application approved shortly after.
The NSW Government began the process of relaxing the lockout laws in January, inviting clubs who have a “proven history of supporting the arts and cultural sector” to apply for consideration.
For Chinese Laundry, it has come just in time — for they have massive month ahead of them in June. They’ll be welcoming the likes of M-Phazes, Joseph Capriati, Krane, Oski and local favourite Yolanda Be Cool to their decks — have a glance at the massive line-up here.
