UPDATE: Site map and set times below.
Weighing up your New Year’s options? Well, you could certainly do worse than spending two days camping on Victoria’s picturesque Phillip Island while a cast of local and international dance favourites bring the tunes. That’s just what new NYE festival Beyond the Valley is promising and if the spiel doesn’t have you sold, the line-up will.
The list of names locked in for the festival’s first edition are certainly work the drive. The biggest coup on there has to be the return of serial funny man Dillon Francis, who’ll be hitting Beyond the Valley with his debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule to show off (and yes, we’d wager he’ll be playing some other New Year’s dates too). Beatmaker Kaytranada will also be making the trip over, as will AlunaGeorge, Danish talent MØ and tech house titans Pleasurekraft.
Then there’s the top-shelf locals. Everyone from Golden Features to Motez, Cosmo’s Midnight to Peking Duk and Rufus to Collarbones will be there to soundtrack your NYE. Take in the full list of names below.
Beyond the Valley will run over two nights this year, December 30 and 31st. There’ll be a range of camping options on offer, from the pop-up luxury hotel with its very own concierge (including the alluring-sounding ‘Hangover Spa’) to Electric City, a powered campsite so you can charge your phone and get in touch with nature at once. General public tickets go on sale this Friday August 15 at 9am and will set you back $299+BF a pop.
