Nina Kraviz officially shares her first original track in four years

As a die-hard believer in the art of DJing, Nina Kraviz devotes most of her time to being a first-rate selector. New productions are few and far between for the Siberian techno star — her last EP, Mr Jones, dropped on Rekids back in 2013 — which makes today’s news all the more special.

Nina has shared a new edit of ‘You Are Wrong’, a previous version of which first appeared on her 2016 Fabric mix. This edit is a live unmastered cut and is being premiered by Barcelona’s Sonar Festival, where she’ll play next month. The full version of ‘You Are Wrong’ will be released on her label Trip in July.

Kraviz founded Trip (or “трип” in Russian) in 2014, achieving quick success with Bjarki’s ‘I Wanna Go Bang’.  In 2015 Nina told inthemix that “between 50 and 60 percent” of the tracks in her set are unreleased Trip tracks. “I’m lucky in that I have the opportunity to play music that nobody else has because it’s not released yet. It’s really inspiring,” she said.

“The other 40 to 50 percent of the tracks I play are special tunes I find while crate digging, as well as new releases and promos on both vinyl and digital.”
