Late last year, Ministry of Sound brought some of Australia’s favourite DJs back together for a special reunion tour that revisited the biggest anthems of the early noughties.
Now, Ministry have announced they’ve got another big reunion tour up their sleeve – only this time, it’s for the punters who were partying between the years of 2005 and 2008. In their words: “This May-June we’re celebrating that iconic era in clubbing when the lines between electro and house officially blurred, when collars were poppin’, trucker caps were donned and basslines were everything.”
If you want an idea of the sorts of music to expect, check out our list of the 20 tunes that made 2007 the best year ever. From Muscles to Boys Noize, DJ Mehdi and the Midnight Juggernauts, there’s a lot of first rate bangers for MOS to pick from. We’d wager you can expect to hear some Crookers, Bloody Beetroots, Fedde Le Grand and Basement Jaxx in the setlists too – maybe even Eric Prydz’s 2005 anthem Call On Me?
The Reunion Tour will hit eight different cities in total, from Townsville down to Adelaide. The line-up is still yet to be revealed, but you can sign up for presale tickets now.
