This weekend cross-over heroes The Prodigy arrive back in Australia for a string of Future Music Festival dates (and a solo show in Sydney), and they’re bringing with them the debut live performances of new tracks from their first album in six years, The Day Is My Enemy. So far they’ve dropped two singles from the new album – the klaxon call of Nasty and the paranoid titular track – but third single Wild Frontier might be the best yet.
Zane Lowe had first play of the new track on BBC Radio 1 last night (UK time), and now the band has dropped a spooky new clip by lo-fi Dutch animator Mascha Halberstad, which you can watch below. As for the track, it continues with the album’s theme of bringing barnstorming Prodigy beats back, with a classic hardcore breakbeat and rave horns aplenty.
The Prodigy play all the Future Music Festival Australia dates (see below for full details), as well as a solo show in Sydney on Wednesday 11 March, and Future Music Festival Asia in Singapore; the new album The Day Is My Enemy is out on 30 March.
