Listen to Grand Theft Auto V’s amazing dance-heavy soundtrack in real life

As you might have heard, the radio stations and soundtrack for blockbuster video game Grand Theft Auto V are seriously good, with everyone from Soulwax, Kavinsky and Flying Lotus to Bootsy Collins hosting a radio station.

And now, you don’t have to be cruising around in a car in game land to wrap your ears around the musical selections: Rockstar Games has released a three disc set of music from the game on iTunes. The first disc features original music recorded specifically for the game by the likes of Flying Lotus, Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky and Twin Shadow; the second disc is the original score written by producers Tangerine Dream, The Alchemist and Oh No with game soundtrack specialist Woody Jackson; and the third disc has a selection of music from the game’s 17 radio stations, with cuts from Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip and The 2 Bears) remixed by Soulwax, Cashmere Cat, and Lee “Scratch” Perry. Listen to a couple of samples below.

So now you can blast the GTA soundtrack in your ears as you roll around the city In Real Life, which is great, apart from one minor issue: having to repress the urge to run over and carjack every nice automobile that drives past.
