Listen to a sneak peak of tyDi’s new chill-out project Hotel Rooms

His epic trance sounds saw tyDi rocket to the top of the inthemix Top 50 DJs poll in 2008 and 2009 when he was fresh out of high school, and he’s been based in LA and touring almost constantly since the release of his genre-spanning second album Shooting Stars in 2011, playing big uplifting sets of the kind you can hear in his Global Soundsystem podcast.

Later this month, though, Tyson will be releasing a very different project, a chill-out album merging “electronica, orchestral and ambient” sounds. He’s been busy: the Hotel Rooms album is 25 tracks deep, including some previously released tracks like Ariana and The Moment it Breaks alongside unheard material.

“It’s for those cold nights at home away from the clubs,” Tyson says, “Or for me personally, the seemingly endless nights on planes, and living alone in hotel rooms during my world touring.” Hotel Rooms is out this Friday: you can listen to a teaser of the album below and pre-order it on iTunes here.
