Listen Out lock in their 2016 dates and venues

Listen Out will return to Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane this September and October with a line-up of international and local dance acts, the festival has today confirmed.

The tour will begin in Melbourne’s Catani Gardens on Saturday, September 24. It will return to Sydney’s Centennial Park and make its debut at new venues in Brisbane and Perth that will offer punters more grass and space to enjoy the festivities.

There’s also exciting news for fans in Melbourne – promoters Fuzzy have responded to complaints about noise restrictions and negotiated with the St Kilda Council to increase the noise limit by 10dB, add extra speakers to the festival site and improve the venue’s soundproofing to keep local residents happy. That means that the sound in the crowd will be over twice as loud as it was last year.

The line-up will be announced in the coming months so it’s officially time start speculating about who’ll be on the bill for 2016 right now. Last year’s lineup featured Childish Gambino, Joey Bada$$, Alison Wonderland and Odesza plus a SBTRKT DJ set, while the lineup for the 2014 tour included Chet Faker, Schoolboy Q, Four Tet, and Flume.
