Our lifestyle and careers site is looking for a new Editor

After launching last year and making your news feed a little less rage-inducing with helpful exercise tips, motivation for your workday, and new ways to chill out, our partner site, The Cusp, is looking for a new editor.

The Cusp, which is also made in collaboration with Westpac, is ultimately a guide on how to be better at all the important things in life — from money to career and health/wellbeing. The ideal candidate for the job will have a keen interest in creating and editing content around those three pillars. We’re looking for an exceptional editor/writer with more than five years experience in developing their skills.

The right candidate will be a super fast writer, with the ability to nail the right tone of each piece, delivering consistently high quality copy each time. As well as writing news and features daily, you’ll be able to create and commission great feature content that stands out from the crowd and best caters to Junkee Media’s 18 to 35-year-old audience. We want someone creative that understands the value of a good image, is brimming with ideas for video, and can adapt to the ever-changing media landscape.

You should also be well-versed in social media and how to get your content seen as widely as possible, so a proven track record of amplifying work digitally will be looked upon very favourably.

We’re looking for someone who has a unique tone of voice, can write a snappy headline and who knows the difference between clickable stories and clickbait. Most of all, we want someone who is passionate about writing, who loves what we do, and wants to be a part of Junkee Media as we continue to grow our editorial team.

The position is full-time and based preferably in our Surry Hills office in Sydney.

To apply, email your CV to [email protected] with the subject title “Cusp Editor” by Wednesday, November 23.
