John ’00’ Fleming tours Australia in September
Trance luminary John 00 Fleming has been diligently ploughing a groove for his preferred brand of dark, progressive and psychedelic trance for more than 20 years now, earning the respect of clubbers worldwide and the title of “national treasure” from BBC Radio 1.
In a long and illustrious career, 2013 could be his biggest year yet – his imprint J00F Recordings is diversifying with the launch of J00F Music Group, which will bring together producers and DJs from other labels to create “a unified platform from which to launch the next wave of deep space expeditions into the serious side of trance and progressive.”
His second artist album One.Hundred.Ten.WKO (released in March) is picking up acclaim from the most unlikely corners (UK tabloid The Daily Mail called it the “electronic album of the year”). And he’s touring the album all over the world for the next few months, bringing his J00F Editions club tour to Australia in September.
Fleming recently posted on Facebook that, “I’m loving Australia so much you’ll be getting five-hour sets on my JOOF Editions tour next month! This gives me time to cover a whole range of music and some classic memories.” And Fleming has form when it comes to extended sets – our reviewer of his 2011 J00F Editions tour called it “trance at its most raw, with absolutely no frills – the focus was on the music and nothing else… And the tunes, oh the tunes. ”
