Jamie xx just dropped the coolest video of the year

It’s been over a year since Jamie xx delivered In Colour – the album we said was 2015’s best – but his solo debut hasn’t stopped giving yet.

Today the UK hitmaker has shared the video for album opener Gosh, an epic five-minute clip filmed in the Chinese city of Tianducheng, which is home to a 108-metre-tall replica of the Eiffel Tower.

It’s directed by Romain Gavras, who previously made M.I.A’s Born Free and Bad Girls clips, Justice’s famous video for Stress, DJ Mehdi’s Signature, and the man Jamie says is responsible for some of his “very favourite music videos”.

All up, some 400 actors feature in the Gosh clip – watch it via Apple Music below.
