It happened: Paris Hilton was voted “Female DJ of the Year”

The day was sure to come, and it finally has: celebrity “DJ” Paris Hilton has taken out an award for “Best Female DJ,” as voted by the audience of French youth station NRJ. The ceremony was held in Monaco overnight to kick off the Monaco International Clubbing Show, with Hilton recently posting the below photo to social media to celebrate her win, beating out competition from the likes of Krewella and NERVO.

The result isn’t entirely surprising: last year Hilton took out NRJ’s award for Best Breakthrough DJ. That year Avicii won Best International DJ, David Guetta won Best French DJ and French pop and electro-house DJ Oriska took out Best Female DJ. At the time of publication, the winners of the other 2014 categories had not been revealed by NRJ; it’s not known whether the nominees for Best International DJ, like Hardwell, Calvin Harris and Armin van Buuren, were on hand for the ceremony.

In the meantime, let’s relive some other classic moments with Paris Hilton, like the time she claimed to be one of the world’s top five DJs, was making over $1 million per set, and that perfectly cringe-worthy time Hilton guest-DJed on Ellen. And take a look below at Hilton’s brand new studio, complete with chandelier and golden wallpaper.
