Insomniac festival Dreamstate is coming to Australia

Dreamstate – the Insomniac festival that’s been doing big things in the U.S. – has announced it’s coming to Australia.

The trance-focussed event launched last year in San Francisco, expanding in 2016 to New York. Now Insomniac, the promoters who also run Electric Daisy Carnival, have revealed they’re bringing Dreamstate to our shores in a joint project together with brand new Australian trance brand Symbiotic.

Dreamstate will hit Melbourne’s Hisense Arena on October 1, with the line-up set to be revealed tomorrow, Monday July 25, at 10am. It will mark Insomniac’s first event on Australian soil – promoter Pasquale Rotella was rumoured to be bringing Electric Daisy Carnival to Australia last year, but a trademark dispute appeared to stall plans.

The likes of Markus Schulz, John 00 Fleming, Infected Mushrom and John O’Callaghan are all on the line-up for Dreamstate’s New York debut, which takes place over two days this August. Paul Oakenfold, Gareth Emery and Cosmic Gate all played at Dreamstate’s 2015 event.
