Here’s the current top 10 frontrunners in ‘America’s Best DJ’

Every year, US publication DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ team up to collect public votes for their ‘America’s Best DJ’ poll. Voters choose from a list of 100 nominees selected by the DJ Times editors to decide who best reps the red, white and blue.

With just three weeks of voting left in the 2014 poll, the top 10 most-voted-for DJs have now been revealed, and you can check out the list below. It’s certainly a mixed field, ranging from turntable maestros A-Trak and Z-Trip to high-flying upstarts Dillon Francis and Skrillex.

In 2012, the mantle of ‘America’s Best DJ’ went to German-born Markus Schulz, who has long considered the US his home. However, the next year saw West Coast house hero Ryan Raddon, better known to his legion of fans as Kaskade, ascend to the top spot.

As Raddon remarked at the time of his win, “The fact that this happened without any campaigns, bribing, trading, begging, paying or even asking makes it meaningful to me.” Mad Decent head Diplo came in a close second (“pretty sure I’m still 258 in the djmag list,” he tweeted) with the likes of Skrillex, Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki and more all gracing the 2013 top ten.

If you’re interested in having a say in this year’s ‘America’s Best DJ’ poll, head here to vote (no, you don’t have to be American to have your say). Otherwise, check out the current top 10 frontrunners below to make a wild guess at who it’s going to be.
