Hear two glorious hours of Jamie xx and Floating Points going B2B

In addition to being two of dance music’s most knowledgeable and in-demand DJs, Jamie xx and Floating Points happen to be good mates too.

This week, the two selectors got together with their record bags for a back-to-back session on London’s NTS Radio, and the resulting two-hour mix is about as enjoyable as you’d expect. The duo kick off with soul and funk, building to disco and house classics from the likes of Armand Van Helden, Theo Parrish and Moodymann, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir and The Black Dog.

The mix comes near the end of a busy summer for both producers. Floating Points is touring the US throughout the months ahead, with a slot this weekend at LA’s extremely enviable FYF Fest. (The lineup includes Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem, Todd Terje & the Olsens, Hot Chip and Air, to name just a few.) Jamie xx, meanwhile, is taking a small step back after a whirlwind European festival season that saw him hit Melt, Benicassim, Hideout, Rock Werchter and several more marquee gigs.
