Hear High Contrast’s collab with Tiesto and Underworld
After High Contrast turned in a remix for Tiesto’s Kaleidoscope album, it seems like the next logical step was for the two unlikely buddies to make a tune together. Throw enduring icons Underworld into the mix and you have a big ol’ party. The result of this get-together is The First Note Is Silent, the lead single from High Contrast’s upcoming fifth LP. The track was given its first play on Annie Mac’s Radio One show last night, and you take a listen to it below.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard the distinctive voice of Karl Hyde paired with High Contrast’s feelgood vibes. The drum & bass gun lent his production acumen to Underworld’s last album Barking, charting different tempos on Scribble and Moon In Water.
As for Tiesto – well, who isn’t he making tunes with these days? In 2011 alone, his studio partners have included Kaskade, Hardwell, Mark Knight and Deadmau5, but High Contrast certainly stands out in that company. You can certainly sense Tijs-y touches in amongst The First Note Is Silent, but it’ll still be chucklesome to see some reactions when he drops this mid-set.
