Hear Daft Punk and LCD songs turned into children’s lullabies for some reason

If you A) have a newborn baby who needs help drifting off to sleep, B) need to stir up some early childhood memories, or C) want to torture someone until they beg for mercy, we’ve found just the compilation for you.

Rockabye Baby! is a series of lullaby compilations aimed at newborns and infants, but with a cool/cruel twist for adults. The general idea is to take popular songs from the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Adele and make them child-friendly and sleep-inducing.

Now, thanks to Pitchfork, we know there’s a new Rockabye Baby! compilation coming on October 14 called Birthday Party, and it includes lullaby versions of 15 songs, including dancefloor hits from Chic, Deee-lite, LCD Soundsystem and Daft Punk.

The Rockabye Baby! team has helpfully shared the soporific renditions of LCD’s All My Friends and Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, which you can listen to below. The compilation also includes tracks from the Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus and Pitbull, but we really can’t abide that kind of torture.

And finally: be careful if you’re listening at work. A few plays of Get Lucky as a lullaby and you’ll be considering nap time under your desk.

Birthday Party tracklist:

1 The Beatles – Birthday
2 Kool & The Gang – Celebration
