Have Hayden James and Golden Features produced a track for Katy Perry’s new album?
Next month, pop princess Katy Perry will release her new album, Witness. We’ve heard three tracks from the record so far: ‘Chained To The Rhythm’, ‘Bon Appetit’, and the probably/maybe Taylor Swift diss track ‘Swish Swish’.
The album — which is due to land June 9 — is crammed full of A-list guest features and producers, apparently including two names we know very well. According to the Witness Wikipedia page, Sydney producers Hayden James and Golden Features (aka Thomas Stell) appear on the list of writing credits for the album — on the as yet unnamed ‘Track 5’, to be exact. Spy their names below:
If the Wikipedia entry is to be believed, it’s a pretty big get for the two producers, both of whom have been very busy lately on the road and in the studio.
We haven’t heard any new material from James since the release of ‘Just A Lover‘ last year, but he just finished up whipping around the country as part of the the Groovin The Moo line-up. He’ll be back in the country again in July to play a string of shows in the snow alongside Luke Million, Confidence Man and Flight Facilities’ Hugo Gruzman.
Golden Features meanwhile, spent a fair chunk of last year in the studio working on his new album, sharing his first new material in ages — ‘Wolfie/Funeral‘ — last December.
We’ll likely find out exactly what Hayden and Golden Features did with Katy Perry when June 9 rolls around. For now, revisit ‘Just A Lover’ below.
