Harvest Festival 2013 line-up announced, headlined by electronic icons

With a powerhouse headline set from Portishead in its first year, Harvest Festival set the bar high. While 2012 saw less attractions for the electronic music lovers, this time the line-up includes one of the greats. That’s right, Bristol’s brooding heroes Massive Attack will return to headline Harvest in November 2013, alongside Franz Ferdinand, Goldfrapp, Eels, CSS, M. Ward and The Drones.

The last time we saw Massive Attack in Australia was for a stunning week of shows in 2010. Coming seven years after the group’s last visit to promote 100th Window, the tour saw most of the dates happening in the open air, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Complimenting the special settings – from the Sydney Opera House forecourt to the picturesque Kings Park in Perth – Massive Attack delivered on their promise of a “spectacular” live show. With thought-provoking visuals expertly incorporated into the performances, audiences were left wowed by the musicians 3D and Daddy G had rallied for this tour. In addition to a well-oiled band, vocal guests Horace Andy, Deborah Miller and Martina Topley-Bird were a fan’s dream. Check out the photos below to soak up the Harvest Festival vibe.
