Forbes Magazine has released its annual list of the world’s highest paid celebrities, and a few familiar dance acts have made the cut.
Scottish hitmaker Calvin Harris leads the charge, landing at #40 with annual earnings of $48.5 million dollars — a little down from what he pulled in last year ($63 million), according to the 2016 Electronic Cash Kings poll. Dutch superstar Tiesto comes further down at #60 with $39 million in his pocket, while American frat boys The Chainsmokers sneak in behind him at #65 with $38 million.
Plenty of other musicians have made the list, including Harris’ ex Taylor Swift (#49 with $44 million), dance lover Justin Bieber is higher up at #13 with $83.5 million, while Beyonce has skated far ahead on a staggering $105 million, which nabs her the #2 spot. The top spot went to Diddy, who raked in a cool $130 million.
The estimates are based on figures from Nielsen, NPD Bookscan, Pollstar, Box Office Mojo, Songkick, D’Marie and IMDB, as well as tips from industry insiders and (sometimes) the celebs themselves. All up, the top 100 celebrities collectively made more that $5.15 billion dollars, which Forbes notes is more than the combined GDP of Belize, Liberia and Gambia.
