Giraffage’s top 5 club tracks right now

Ryan Hemsworth told us in February that Giraffage is a ‘house party music extraordinaire’, and while there probably won’t be ping pong or beer bongs at OutsideIn – the boutique festival he’s headlining this summer – we reckon the San Franciscan will still get the vibes flowing when he touches down in Australia this November.

It hasn’t been too long since we last saw Giraffage in the country, but we’re psyched to have him back. Like all right-thinking individuals, he loves a bit of R&B, but he’s happy with just a sample; the man will play anything from house to bass music as long as there’s a silky vocal tucked somewhere in there. While we wait for OutsideIn to roll around, get to know some of the tracks you might be hearing live with five of Giraffage’s current set favourites.

#1 Sophie – Lemonade

“It’s hard to go anywhere and NOT hear this track, but Sophie’s productions are so good that it’s forgivable. The juxtaposition from happy, bubbly J-pop inspired melodies and vocals and hard club beats is amazing.”

#2 Durkin – How We Ball Out

“Exciting new producer from Boston, giving a fresh club take on an old classic Rihanna track. Really cool flip and the recognizable quality of the original makes it go off in the club.”

#3 Avidd – Scrub

“Really low-key producer from San Francisco. This song sounds so good on club speakers.”

#4 DRJ – Luv 4 Me

“Cool flip of a classic song. DRJ is a great producer from Boston and brings hard hitters to the club. Literally every song that I play from him goes off.”

#5 Jeremih – Don’t Tell’em (Falcons y Promnite Remix)

“Another cool flip of a future classic. Falcons and Promnite are two to look out for.”
